We have entered the courses you are required to do for you below. New Entrants to the commercial fishing industry are required by law to complete a Health and Safety and Sea Survival course BEFORE they start employment onboard a vessel. After 3 months have elapsed from the completion of these courses, New Entrants are required by law to undertake a Fire Fighting and First Aid course specific to the industry. Your grant authorisation number, when issued by the Seafish Authority will expire after six months from date of issue. Courses attended after this six month point will not be subject to grant aid.
